Shop rate is $60/hour

Labour rates do not include materials costs. Labour is calculate on the following (but not limited to):

  • Custom Picture Framing - Typically starts at $140 and up.

  • Piece Work - Bring your own frame from thrift or elsewhere

  • Cutting mats, glass, etc.

  • Stretching canvas - Travel paintings stretched onto wood bars

  • Photo post-processing - Scanning or edited photos or artwork

  • Artwork commissions - See my website for the type of art I do, www.artofluba.com

Labour rates are non-negotiable.

Giclee (Inkjet) Printing

We invested in Canon equipment for superb image quality and ink longevity reasons. Canon imagePROGRAF PRO Series printers output exceptional quality and color consistency on a variety of fine art substrate. Hardware info : Canon Canada

Custom Picture Framing

We offer a variety of creative solutions for most custom picture framing project ideas, from total job completion to partial work using existing frames - true to the client’s vision.

Scanning & Photography

Image capture services including artwork scanning and photography. Please contact us to book a consult.

Images provided to client are 300 dpi and up, on Google Drive or USB. Epson Perfection V700 Photo and Canon DSLR Cameras are used in the studio.

NEW! Photo resize using TopazLabs Gigapixel AI is now available. If you have old blurry photos, we can resize them into print quality sharp images before printing. This service is included with ordered print jobs but can be offered as a service on its own.

Piece Work

Some folks like to reuse existing frames which hold memories, or have found thrifted frames, or are preparing for an art show and are using store-bought frames. Some build their own frames and need matting/glass and fitting. Luba provides these “piece work” services, whereas other shops will not touch them.

Hardware & Supplies Sales

D-rings, wire spools, foamcore, matting, 3M tapes, Lineco products, and more are all available for purchase. Bulk open-back frames are available for artists who like to DIY at home. Prices vary due to inflation. Please inquire!

Luba can refer you to artists who take commission work.
